TIO Markets is a multi-entity forex and CFD broker offering MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and the TIOmarkets App. In its current global account comparison, Nano, Standard, Raw and VIP Black use different spread, commission, deposit and leverage structures.
The headline conditions are not universal. Account availability, products, leverage, funding methods and client protections can change according to the legal entity and the client’s country. In particular, the high-leverage conditions advertised on the global site should not be applied automatically to UK or European retail accounts.
Separately, eligible accounts linked through HighFxRebates can currently receive up to $7.50 per round-turn lot, with confirmed rebates paid weekly to HFR. Rates vary by account and instrument, and the current public HFR schedule does not show a rebate for the Nano account. See the TIO Markets cashback for the live rebate table and linking instructions.
HFR has also confirmed that eligible European clients can receive TIO Markets rebates under its IB arrangement. That HFR eligibility should be kept separate from the broker’s legal-entity status: As checked on 15 October 2026, CySEC marks TioMarkets CY Ltd licence 429/23 as “under examination for voluntary renunciation of the authorisation”, so the entity, eligible accounts and onboarding route for a European client should be confirmed before registration or transfer.

TIO Markets legal entities and regulation
TIO Markets operates through several companies. T.I.O. Group Holdings Ltd, registered in Cyprus under number HE379701, is identified by TIO Markets as the owner of the TIOmarkets brand and website, but the company that owns the brand is not necessarily the company that enters into the trading agreement with a client.
| Entity | Jurisdiction | Regulator | Licence/ref. | Current note |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| TIO Markets UK Limited | United Kingdom | FCA | FRN 488900 | TIO Markets states that this entity accepts UK residents only. |
| TioMarkets CY Ltd | Cyprus | CySEC | 429/23 | CySEC currently marks the licence as under examination for voluntary renunciation; approved domain: tiomarkets.eu. |
| Trade i.o. Ltd | Seychelles | FSA Seychelles | SD167 | TIO Markets states that this entity trades as TIOmarkets and is authorised as a Securities Dealer. |
| TIO Markets Ltd | Saint Vincent and the Grenadines / Comoros | MISA | T2023224 | The company is registered in SVG; TIO Markets separately states that it is authorised by MISA in the Comoros Union. |

These arrangements are not equivalent regulatory regimes. In particular, registration of TIO Markets Ltd in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is separate from the MISA authorisation that TIO Markets cites for the company. The Cyprus position also needs careful wording: CySEC still lists TioMarkets CY Ltd and tiomarkets.eu, while the current main-site company-information page lists the UK, Seychelles and global companies but does not include the Cyprus entity in that main group summary.
For UK residents, the group identifies TIO Markets UK Limited as the applicable company. Other clients should check the exact company named in the Client Agreement before relying on a licence, leverage limit, compensation scheme or product list.
For more detail on entity-specific conditions and licence checks, see HFR’s Why the Same Forex Broker Can Have Different Legal Entities and How to Check If a Forex Broker Is Regulated guides.
TIO Markets account types compared
The current global comparison page lists four live account types. The main differences are the spread floor, commission, minimum deposit, minimum trade size, platforms, and available leverage.
| Account | Spreads from | Commission | Min. deposit | Min. trade | Platform | Global-site leverage |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nano | 0.6 pips | $6/RTL | $20 | 0.001 lots | MT5 / App | Up to 1:500 on request |
| Standard | 1.1 pips | $0* | $20 | 0.01 lots | MT4 / MT5 / App | Up to unlimited on MT5 |
| Raw | 0.0 pips | $6/RTL | $250 | 0.01 lots | MT4 / MT5 / App | Up to 1:500 on request |
| VIP Black | 0.3 pips | $0 | $1,000 | 0.01 lots | MT4 / MT5 / App | Up to 1:500 on request |

The Standard account uses wider variable spreads with no general per-lot commission. Raw separates the spread from a $6 round-turn commission. VIP Black combines spreads from 0.3 pips with zero commission, while Nano starts from 0.6 pips, charges $6 per round turn and supports a 0.001-lot minimum trade size. TIO Markets notes a separate stock-CFD commission on the Standard account, so “zero commission” should not be read as universal across every instrument.
Nano is currently listed for MT5 and the TIOMarkets App. Standard, Raw and VIP Black support MT4, MT5 and the app on the global comparison page. Spreads are variable, and all of these conditions can vary by legal entity and region.
TIO Markets fees and trading costs
The main trading costs are spreads, commissions and overnight swaps. Raw and Nano charge $6 per round-turn lot; Standard and VIP Black are generally zero-commission accounts, subject to instrument-specific charges. TIO Markets states that the full commission is charged when a position is opened and covers both the opening and closing of the trade.
Swap charges or credits depend on the instrument, direction, size and holding period. Current swap values are available in the MT4 or MT5 symbol specifications. Swap-free treatment is available only on eligible accounts and symbols; TIO Markets currently excludes spot oils, spot gas, single stocks, crypto instruments and FX pairs involving MXN, TRY or ZAR from its swap-free terms.
Funding costs are separate. The global fee page currently lists fiat deposits of $20 or more as fee-free and fiat withdrawals of $20 or more as fee-free where the account has traded. The withdrawal page also lists method-specific charges in certain cases, including a $25 bank-wire fee and 5% charges for some card, e-wallet, or mobile-money withdrawals below the stated minimum or without qualifying trading activity. Crypto withdrawals can have separate charges. The live funding page should therefore be checked before a material withdrawal.
TIO Markets also lists a $30 monthly dormancy fee after three consecutive months with no open positions and no trades. This is different from the withdrawal-related inactivity/processing charges described above.
For a broader explanation of funding costs, see HFR’s Forex Broker Deposit and Withdrawal Fees Explained.
Leverage, margin call and stop-out
On the global site, Raw, VIP Black and Nano are shown with leverage up to 1:500 on request. The Standard account can access TIO Markets’ unlimited-leverage feature on MT5, but the feature is conditional rather than a permanent absence of margin requirements.
| Standard account equity | Margin requirement | Indicative leverage |
|---|---|---|
| $0–$999 | 0% | Effectively unlimited |
| $1,000–$2,499 | 0.05% | 1:2000 |
| $2,500–$4,999 | 0.10% | 1:1000 |
| $5,000–$19,999 | 0.20% | 1:500 |
| $20,000+ | 0.50% | 1:200 |
Only eligible MT5 symbols with the “un” suffix use the unlimited-leverage feature. TIO Markets also imposes a 0.5% margin requirement, equivalent to 1:200 leverage, for qualifying positions opened from 15 minutes before until five minutes after specified high-impact news and from 21:00 Friday until 01:00 Monday platform time. EA trading is not compatible with the unlimited-leverage configuration.
Instrument-specific caps also matter. Since 2 February 2026, TIO Markets has limited maximum leverage on XAUUSD and XAUEUR to 1:200 across all account types, showing why an account-level headline should not be assumed to apply to every market.
For the current global accounts, TIO Markets publishes a 100% margin-call level and a standard 30% stop-out level. It also states that the Standard account at 1:2000 leverage uses a 40% stop-out level. UK and European retail rules can be materially different, so the global figures should not be applied automatically outside the relevant entity.
For the mechanics behind these thresholds, see HFR’s Margin Call vs Stop Out guide.
Trading platforms and tools
TIO Markets supports MT4, MT5 and the TIOmarkets App. MT5 has the broader built-in toolset on the current platform comparison, including 21 timeframes, 38 technical indicators, 44 graphical objects, a built-in economic calendar and multi-threaded strategy testing. MT4 remains available with MQL4, Expert Advisors and the familiar nine-timeframe interface.

The current platform comparison shows 263 symbols on MT5 and 175 on MT4, while other TIO Markets pages use broader marketing totals such as 300+ symbols. These figures describe different published scopes; readers should check the instrument list on their own platform and entity rather than treating any one total as universal.
The TIOmarkets App provides mobile trading, account management and TradingView-integrated charts. TIO Markets also supports Expert Advisors, scalping and hedging on its ordinary global account configurations. Copy trading is currently available through MT5. Platform and feature availability can still vary by entity and account.
Markets and trading products
The global site currently covers forex, indices, commodities, stock CFDs, crypto CFDs, futures and fixed income. Its forex page lists 70+ currency pairs, and the stock page advertises 800+ stock CFDs. TIO Markets also added 13 markets in September 2026: three indices, nine commodities and a UK gilt product that introduced fixed income as a separate category on the site.
Futures are offered as expiring contracts rather than standard rolling CFDs, and TIO Markets states that the listed futures do not incur overnight swap charges. Product availability, leverage and trading hours can still differ by entity, account and platform, so a market shown on the global site should not be assumed to be available to every UK, European or international client.
Deposits and withdrawals
The global site supports several funding routes, including bank wire, debit and credit cards, e-wallets, crypto-to-fiat funding and mobile money. Available methods and currencies depend on the client’s country and payment route. Where the payment currency differs from the account or wallet currency, TIO Markets or its processor may convert the funds.
The general minimum deposit starts from $20 or the currency equivalent, but Raw and VIP Black have higher account-opening minimums. Bank wires can take several business days, while selected card, e-wallet, and other methods can be faster.
TIO Markets says withdrawal requests are usually processed within one business day. That is the broker-processing period; delivery by the bank or payment provider can take longer. The account must also be verified before withdrawals can be processed. Return-to-source and payment-channel rules should be checked on the live funding page before depositing.
Client protections and operational security
Client protections depend on the legal entity. TIO Markets states that client funds are held in segregated accounts with established banking and payment institutions and that daily reconciliations are used to compare segregated balances with amounts owed to clients. Segregation concerns the handling of client money; it does not protect against trading losses.
For TIO Markets UK Limited, the broker states that eligible clients may have access to the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, subject to the scheme’s rules and limits. That protection applies to the FCA-regulated UK relationship and should not be extended to clients of other group entities.
TIO Markets also describes verification and monitoring around deposits and withdrawals. These controls can reduce some operational risks but do not make an account completely safe. Negative balance protection, compensation rights and complaint routes should be checked in the legal documents for the exact entity and client classification.
TIO Markets cashback through HighFxRebates
HFR’s current public rebate schedule lists the following rates for eligible linked accounts. These are HFR conditions, not TIO Markets’ own trading fees.
| Account | Forex/metals | Oil/energies | Shares/equities | Indices | Crypto |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $7.50/RTL | $7.50/RTL | — | $3/RTL | $3/RTL |
| Raw | $1.52/RTL | $1.52/RTL | $1.52/RTL | $1.52/RTL | $1.52/RTL |
| VIP Black | $0.75/RTL | $0.75/RTL | $0.75/RTL | $0.75/RTL | $0.75/RTL |
HFR has confirmed that eligible European clients can also receive TIO Markets rebates under the HFR IB arrangement. Because the Cyprus licence was recorded as under examination on 15 October 2026 for voluntary renunciation and the group’s public entity structure is in transition, European users should confirm the exact legal entity, eligible account types, instruments and onboarding route with HFR before opening or transferring an account.
For a new account, use the tracked registration route on the HFR TIO Markets page, then add the trading account in the HFR dashboard and wait for confirmation. This is separate from an existing-account transfer.
For an existing account, the public HFR page currently instructs clients to contact TIO Markets and request transfer under PipRebate – ID: 1584. Transfer approval is broker-controlled, and the same procedure should not be assumed to apply to every European account without confirmation.

The HFR listing excludes trades closed in under two minutes, hedge trades, and cases where total commission is below $100. The page does not clearly specify the assessment period for the $100 threshold. Clients should confirm how these exclusions apply to their activity before expecting a payout.
For the rebate mechanism itself, see HFR’s What Are Forex Rebates? guide.
Cashback returns part of eligible trading costs after confirmation. It does not change spreads, leverage, execution, client protections or market risk and does not guarantee a profit.

Final words
TIO Markets offers a choice between spread-only and commission-based accounts, MT4 and MT5 access on most global accounts, a mobile app and a broad range of leveraged markets. The Standard account’s conditional high-leverage structure and the broker’s multi-entity setup make it especially important to check the exact entity and instrument rather than relying on one global headline.
Before opening or transferring an account, identify the company that will hold the account, compare the full trading cost, and verify the leverage, products, funding rules and protections that apply under that entity. HFR cashback should be assessed separately from those broker conditions.
Eligible HFR-linked accounts can receive rebates subject to the current account, instrument and trade rules. HFR has also confirmed eligibility for some European clients under its IB arrangement, but the entity and onboarding route should be confirmed at the time of registration or transfer.
Sources and methodology
Broker and rebate pages were reviewed on 15 October 2026. Changeable broker conditions were checked against TIO Markets’ current global pages and help centre, while the Cyprus licence status was checked against the CySEC register. HFR-specific rebate rates and linking instructions were checked separately against the live HighFxRebates TIO Markets page. Broker conditions can change by legal entity, country, account, platform and instrument, so the live account agreement and product terms remain the final reference before registration or trading.

Risk warning and disclaimer
Forex and CFD trading involve a high risk of loss, particularly when leverage is used. High leverage can magnify losses and can lead to rapid liquidation. Regulation, client-money segregation and compensation arrangements do not guarantee the safety of funds, execution quality or trading outcomes.
Forex rebates may return part of eligible trading costs after broker confirmation, but they do not reduce market risk, leverage risk, execution risk, slippage risk, swap costs, broker risk or the risk of loss.
