Overview of WEEX
WEEX is a centralised cryptocurrency exchange established in 2018. Its platform provides Spot trading, perpetual Futures, Copy Trading, P2P, Quick Buy/OTC services, demo Futures trading, and API access. WEEX's current platform information lists more than 1,200 Spot pairs and more than 1,000 Futures pairs, although supported markets change as assets are listed and delisted.
WEEX uses tiered trading fees. At VIP 0, the current published Spot rate is 0.10% maker and 0.10% taker. Futures start at 0.020% maker and 0.080% taker. Rates decline at higher VIP levels, and account-specific or promotional rates can differ. Users should therefore check the fee displayed in their WEEX account before trading.
Futures leverage varies by contract and position tier. Selected BTC, ETH, XAUT and XAG perpetual contracts have supported maximum leverage of up to 400x, while many other contracts have lower limits. Higher leverage materially increases liquidation risk and should not be presented as a general benefit.
WEEX also operates through a regulated entity in El Salvador. WEEX Global, S.A. de C.V. is registered with the National Commission of Digital Assets as Digital Asset Service Provider PSAD-0085, with registration dated 22 May 2026. Its permitted activities include digital-asset exchange, trading-platform operation, and other digital-asset services. WEEX's Salvadoran terms also identify a Bitcoin Service Provider registration with the Central Reserve Bank of El Salvador. These registrations apply to that legal entity and should not be described as universal regulation of every WEEX service worldwide.
WEEX publishes Proof of Reserves and identifies a 1,000 BTC Protection Fund. These measures can provide additional transparency but are not government-backed deposit insurance and do not guarantee recovery from every possible loss.
