Analysis as of 2 November 2026. Cryptocurrency candles are completed through 1 November; gold and silver candles end on 30 October. No 2 November candle or market move is included.
Bitcoin and Ether recovered from Friday into Sunday, but their daily closes remained below the reaction areas lost during the late-week decline. Solana finished the weekend lower, with successive lower daily highs. Gold and silver ended Friday close to fresh lows, leaving their nearest support areas dependent on a single test.
Across all five assets, the practical test is whether completed daily closes reclaim former reaction areas or lose the nearest dated lows. Trading above a recent low is not, by itself, confirmation of a reversal.
Data and methodology
The cryptocurrency analysis uses ChartExchange’s Coinbase-labelled BTCUSD, ETHUSD and SOLUSD daily OHLC tables, with UTC dates and prices in US dollars per token. The latest completed closes are $78,230.55 for Bitcoin, $2,272.23 for Ether and $94.39 for Solana on 1 November. These are third-party-distributed venue records; no direct TradingView inspection is claimed.
Gold and silver use Investing.com’s provider-defined OTC spot/proxy XAU/USD and XAG/USD daily candles in dollars per troy ounce. Friday’s closes are $3,875.44 and $49.1277. The provider’s exact session timezone was not established, so these are not described as OANDA candles, universal New York closes or futures settlements.
The evidence includes the completed reporting window and separately identified daily observations from 19–25 October for structural context. Zones combine dated highs, lows and closing behaviour. An emerging zone has limited confirmation; a provisional single-test zone rests on one observed reaction. Several earlier support tests do not automatically establish several resistance retests after a breakdown.
All scenarios require completed daily closes on the identified series. A wick beyond a zone is only an intraday excursion. Moving averages, RSI and derivatives readings are omitted because the approved evidence did not establish reproducible historical values. The weekly recap uses separate CoinGecko aggregate closes for performance, so small reference-price differences between the two articles reflect provider conventions.
Chart levels also differ from executable quotations. HFR’s guide to forex order types explains why a quoted trigger and an eventual fill can differ; the levels here remain analytical references rather than execution instructions.
Brief macro and product-flow context
The Fed, ECB and BoJ held their policy settings during the week. Two- and ten-year Treasury par yields fell between Monday and Friday, although this did not prevent crypto and metals from declining on their selected performance comparisons. Farside’s five-session totals were −$202.4m for Bitcoin ETFs, −$431.4m for Ether ETFs and −$71.6m for tracked Solana-linked products. Selected GLD and IAU estimates indicated about $130m of combined outflows, while SLV’s estimated inflow was about $247m despite falling silver prices. These observations provide context; none confirms a support level or substitutes for a completed-close recovery. For earlier market context, see HFR’s 19–25 October weekly recap.
Technical snapshot
Reference areas are rounded completed closes: 1 November for crypto and 30 October for metals. All levels are approximate. A subsequent hold means later completed daily closes remaining in or above the reclaimed area, rather than an intraday move alone.

Bitcoin technical analysis
The weekend recovery remains below broken support
Bitcoin’s Sunday close of $78,230.55 improved on Friday’s $77,180.42, but remained below the approximate $79,100–80,300 reaction band. The distinction is important: the market recovered from the lows without yet regaining the area that had supported earlier daily trading.
The band is grounded in the $79,107 low on 24 October, lows around $79,255–79,366 on 26–27 October and the $80,270.68 low on 28 October. The 29 October close at $77,780.33 was below that cluster. Its resistance role is emerging because the retained record does not show repeated completed retests from underneath.
Recent lows define the first structure risk
Support around $76,100–77,000 combines Friday’s $76,141.02 low and Saturday’s $76,954.57 low. Sunday finished above this area, making it an emerging low zone rather than an already broken floor. The two observations offer more evidence than a single wick, although they are insufficient to establish a durable base.
A completed close above about $80,300, followed by closes holding the reclaimed area, would improve the recovery structure. Higher resistance around $81,200–82,000 reflects reactions on 23, 28 and 29 October. A completed close below roughly $76,100 would weaken the recent low structure. The retained evidence does not establish a lower price target. Thursday’s $4,191 daily range also shows how much movement occurred inside a single candle.
Ethereum technical analysis
Ether closes immediately beneath its first resistance area
Ether ended Sunday at $2,272.23 after successive higher weekend closes. It was above emerging support around $2,230–2,250, but just below the approximate $2,275–2,320 resistance area. Sunday’s high of $2,275.51 reached its lower edge without a completed close above it.
The resistance area combines the 24 October low near $2,276 with the lower reactions on 26–28 October. The subsequent breakdown changed the question from whether that area could support price to whether a recovery could reclaim it. Earlier strength also remained unrecovered: the 28 October high of $2,389.59 was below the $2,524.38 high on 21 October.
The support area has an important intraday exception
The $2,230–2,250 area includes the 29 October low, Saturday’s $2,233.08 low and Sunday’s $2,245.34 low. Friday, however, traded down to $2,170.03 before closing at $2,241.07. Calling the higher support band continuously defended would conceal that breach.
The deeper $2,170–2,200 area is therefore a separate provisional single-test reference. A completed close above roughly $2,320 and a subsequent hold would show a broader reclaim than merely trading through $2,275. A close below about $2,230 would weaken the emerging support structure; a close below $2,170 would also lose Friday’s provisional low. The weekend improvement has not yet established a reversal of the earlier lower-high structure.
Solana technical analysis
Lower weekend highs separate Solana from Bitcoin and Ether
Solana closed at $96.15 on Friday, $95.31 on Saturday and $94.39 on Sunday. Its daily highs also stepped lower, from $98.50 to $96.87 and then $95.80. This sequence supports a weaker near-term reading than the weekend recovery visible in Bitcoin and Ether.
Resistance around $95.8–98.5 contains those three recent reactions. It is a repeated reaction band with descending highs, rather than one precisely defined ceiling. The 29 October close at $95.37 had already fallen below the earlier $99–100.5 area, evidenced by the 24 and 26–28 October lows. The subsequent rebound failed to restore that area.
The latest close is above an emerging low zone
Support around $92–93 comes from Friday’s $92.14 low and Sunday’s $93 low. The $94.39 reference remains above it and below resistance. These two low observations make the zone emerging, while the lower weekend highs show that price has not yet repaired the preceding decline.
A completed close above approximately $98.5 would break above the recent descending-high band. Reclaiming $99–100.5 would provide further repair of the lost reaction area. A completed close below about $92 would weaken the emerging support structure. Protocol-related headlines do not supply the completed price confirmation needed for either scenario.
Gold technical analysis
Friday finishes inside a provisional support area
Gold closed Friday at $3,875.44 after reaching a low of $3,870.17. The reference lies inside the approximate $3,870–3,900 support area and near the lower edge of Friday’s $156.96 range. This identifies a possible stabilisation area, but the retained record contains only one test.
The preceding recovery had already lost altitude. Wednesday’s $4,082.79 high remained below the $4,190.57 high recorded on 19 October. Friday then finished beneath the reaction band around $3,975–4,035, which includes repeated interactions from 23 October and throughout the reporting week. Those earlier reactions justify the band; its new resistance role remains unconfirmed by a completed retest from below.
A reclaim would carry more weight than a bounce from the low
A completed daily close above roughly $4,035, followed by a hold of the reclaimed area, would improve the immediate structure. Additional repair above approximately $4,085 would also regain the midweek high. Neither condition had occurred by Friday’s cut-off.
A completed close below about $3,870 would weaken the provisional low area. No older defended lower support is established by this retained dataset, so projecting a further downside target would exceed the evidence. The latest close’s position inside support should not be mistaken for confirmation that support will hold.
Silver technical analysis
The Friday range expands beneath the prior reaction area
Silver finished Friday at $49.1277 after a low of $48.8620, inside a provisional support area around $48.85–49.25. Friday’s reported high and open were both $52.35, giving a $3.4880 daily range and a close near its lower edge. The nearest support has only single-test evidence.
The first resistance area around $51.95–53.05 draws on the 23 and 26 October lows near $53, the 27 October low at $52.6291 and the 29 October low at $51.9663. Friday’s $52.35 opening/high adds a reaction inside that area. Its previous-support evidence is repeated, but its resistance role after the breakdown is emerging.
The chart requires its own recovery evidence
A completed close above roughly $53.05, followed by a hold, would reclaim the nearer lost band. Higher resistance around $54.4–54.85 reflects highs on 23 and 26–29 October. These areas describe earlier reactions rather than promised destinations.
A completed close below about $48.85 would weaken the provisional low. Until further completed reactions develop, there is no multi-test base. SLV’s estimated creations during the week do not change this classification: product flows can diverge from price, and inflows alone cannot establish that a low is secure.
Cross-asset signals to watch
The most useful comparison is the quality of each recovery. Bitcoin and Ether closed above their Friday references, yet neither reclaimed its primary lost reaction area. Ether finished particularly close to the lower edge of its first resistance band. Solana’s sequence of lower weekend highs and closes offered less constructive evidence.
The metals face a different problem. Gold and silver ended inside newly formed support areas with one low each, rather than above established bases. Their old reaction bands contain several observations, but the market had not completed the retests needed to establish those bands firmly as resistance.
These distinctions prevent one shared outlook from being imposed on all five assets. A stronger Bitcoin close would not automatically repair Ether or Solana, and silver’s flow divergence would not confirm gold support. The dated daily closes remain the test for each instrument independently. For a comparison with the preceding week’s levels, see the 26 October technical outlook.
Constructive and weakening scenarios
- Constructive recovery: completed closes above about $80,300 in Bitcoin and $2,320 in Ether, followed by holds, would improve their damaged reaction structures. Solana would need its own close above $98.5 and further repair around $99–100.5. For gold and silver, closes above about $4,035 and $53.05 would reclaim the nearer lost bands. The evidence would be stronger if subsequent closes held those areas; an isolated intraday move would be insufficient.
- Stabilisation without a reversal: prices could remain above the identified low areas while failing to regain resistance. That would leave the larger crypto rebounds incomplete and the metals’ bases unconfirmed. More reactions might strengthen a zone’s evidence over time, but they cannot be assumed at this cut-off.
- Renewed structural weakness: completed closes below roughly $76,100 in Bitcoin, $2,230 in Ether or $92 in Solana would weaken their recent low structures. Ether’s $2,170 reference is a separate deeper test. Gold below about $3,870 or silver below $48.85 would lose their provisional lows. These conditions identify structural deterioration, not a forecast of its timing or a lower target.
The 2–6 November activity and labour releases and BoE decision are scheduled sources of new information. They may alter trading conditions, but their outcomes are not assumed here. New product-flow data would belong to the next observation period.
Final takeaway
The weekend brought partial repair for Bitcoin and Ether, continued weakness in Solana and no additional eligible metal candles after Friday. The nearest metals support areas remain less established than the multiple recent interactions visible in parts of the crypto charts.
The distinction to preserve is between recovering from a low and reclaiming a broken reaction area. Completed closes and subsequent holds would strengthen the constructive cases; losses of the dated low zones would weaken them. At this cut-off, none of the five assets had established a confirmed reversal in the retained daily evidence.
Risk warning
Technical levels and daily chart evidence should be treated as reference points, not signals or guarantees. Bitcoin can move quickly during ETF flow changes, macro events, or liquidation-driven volatility, especially for traders using leverage.
The same caution applies to Ether, Solana, gold and silver. Support and resistance can fail, provisional lows may not develop into bases, and execution prices can differ from chart references. Leveraged products introduce additional leverage, funding and liquidation risks. Losses are possible, and the scenarios above do not include personalised entries, exits or position sizing.

Sources and methodology
All prices are historical reference observations. Sources were inspected on 2 November 2026, while crypto candles stop at 1 November and metals candles at 30 October. Earlier candles supply structural context only. Support and resistance zones and their strength classifications are HFR interpretations of the underlying OHLC, not provider-certified forecasts. All retained candles passed basic open/high/low/close consistency checks.
